Who we are

What we collect
- Account details: your email, a hashed password, and your name if you give it.
- What you save: your boards and the charts on them, so they follow you between devices.
- Usage for limits: counts such as saves and API calls, so plans can be applied.
- Basic server logs: IP address, browser type and the page requested, kept for security and debugging for a short period.
We do not collect anything you did not give us or that the site does not need to work.
Cookies
We set one session cookie so you stay logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies and we do not run third-party analytics scripts. Your browser also keeps your saved charts in local storage so they work before you log in.
Payments
Stripe processes payments for Pro and Max. Your card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers. We receive your plan, billing status and the last four digits of the card.
How we use it
To run your account, apply your plan, send the emails you ask for (password resets, receipts, alerts and the daily digest if you turned it on), keep the service secure and fix bugs. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train models.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that run the site for us, such as hosting, email delivery and Stripe, under terms that limit their use. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data by writing to hello@viral-chart.com. If you are in Canada, the EU or the UK you have the rights your local privacy law gives you, and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
ViralChart is not for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of [Ontario, Canada, placeholder to confirm with counsel].
